Soap and alcohol are in their own separate bottles for me.Data Bridge Market Research analyses that the automotive wrap films market was valued at USD 4.76 billion in 2021 and is expected to reach USD 24.45 billion by 2029, registering a CAGR of 22.7% during the forecast period of 2022 to 2029. It works for some but I'm not one of those lol. It's slippy enough to reposition, and tacky enough to just hold for a few seconds for it to grab enough. I can get away with a soap and water only solution at 2.5mL of soap added to a 32oz bottle. You have soap, which slips, and alcohol, which tacks,in the same bottle mixed together fighting one another. The guy I used to work with would but I never understood why. Even then, the overstretch has to be relaxed. So lifting is inevitable when it comes to a bumper wrap, unless I turbo stretch the crap out of the film to position it "properly" from the beginning. Never lifting on partial hoods and fenders is pretty straight forward, but what about full bumper wraps or the dreaded mirror caps? I don't have a plotter so I'm doing everything all bulk by myself. I think I just talked myself out of it lol So you think just giving them a set price will be ok? I guess the whole commission thing will end up being a bit of a headache for me to try and keep track of it, making checks or paying cash, taxes. I get what you're saying with the "don't discount at all" and instead build value. Now i am thinking why the hell would they put stronger adhesive for? doesn't make sense to me.Īlso vinyl is quite thick and it doesn't stretch much. it is manufactured from same factory in germany but they put different adhesive on the back. ![]() When i called the distributor he said the vvivid is in conjunction of 3m. Takes me more than 2 hours for the first job. ![]() If i lift up the vinyl a little bit to get the bubble out, the area around the bubble has already attached on the surface so hard even though i didn't tack it down, i end up stretching the vinyl in the bubble area i make temporarily hinge each corner but the adhesive in the middle part is too strong i ended up lifting vinyl in the corner. ![]() when i lay out the vinyl on the hood or roof. otherwise bubbles will be everywhere.Īnd as it has very strong adhesive, temporarily hinge is meaningless. I need one more person to hold the vinyl tight and slowly squeeze it down. the initial tack is way too harsh so that i can't make glass. it looks 3d shape and has got glossy look and depth as well. In my opinion the outlook of vvivid carbon is the best. I bought vvivid black matte, gloss, carbon 4d whole rollsīottom pic is detail shot of the vvivid carbon i am posting this so that hopefully some other people dont' make same mistake that i did. I am pretty new to this wrapping business and had a bad experience with vvivid.
